Interrupting the driving of cattle in the evening. This is the forest – 200 metres off the main road and you could be lost. Sand, low trees and suddenly you find a man driving his cattle home in the evening.

This is the road through our village of Kampong Chheuteal. It’s around 8am. There is not a lot of traffic because school starts at 7am. This road passes the temples of Sambor Prei Kuk to the village temple to the school.

The forests around Sambor Prei Kuk are peaceful and provide an ideal place for a stroll. They were only cleared of mines a few years ago. They were left behind by the Viet Cong and Americans in the 1970’s. You can still see bullet holes on the temples.
