Why IT Club Cambodia?

IT classes for Grade 10, 11, 12 are about learning Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. To us that is Business Studies.

Through talking to students we realised they did not understand the basics of how to use Google for seaching the internet, how to or why use email.

They did not understand the downside of social media or about staying safe online. For most of them, their parents did not own a smartphone and had not joined Facebook. So they did not understand the dangers of stalking, phishing or false information.

The teachers who taught Word, Excel etc. were not trained as IT teachers, they had started their careers on another subject and cross trained later.
